EXAMINATIONS HAVE SOME BAD EFFECTS ON BOTH STUDENGS AND TEACHERS

Are there any bad effects on both students and teachers when having examinations? The answer is “yes!” Why?
Most people think like this. Having tests is a part of life for students when they study in the school. It not only improves how much knowledge you get, but also help teachers to monitor your ability clearly. It still tells teachers who is a good student, who is not, and it shows how hard you study during these days as well. Therefore, this is the good reason for having examinations, it will make students to get better and better. However, everything has it side effect.
First of all, having examinations may not improve your knowledge , because knowledge is a big word. It contains a lot of things. Examination cannot indicate you have poor knowledge when you did badly in the examination, because maybe someone is not good at this kind of test. For example, someone who does not like Mathematics and he will get low mark when he has a test, what does it improved? It just means he is not good at Mathematics.
Second, teachers cannot monitor students ability clearly during the examinations. Examinations just used for testing how much the students learned, not the ability.
Third, whether a student is good or not cannot be judged by examinations. Maybe someone has a lot of questions about it, and he wants to know more, he studies hard, but with a poor memory, he cannot remember something which will cause him get a bad result. Can you say he is a not a good student? Can you say he does not work hard? Obviously you can not say whether he is a good student or not.
In one word, examinations used for teachers making the judgments to the students will have bad effects to both teachers and students.
